The town’s shopping attractions are in Findley Lake and mostly specialty shops. For grocery shopping, there’s the Findley Lake Market on Main Street. Sherman has a small business district that includes Mack’s Hometown Market, a grocery store on Church Street. For major supermarkets, the village of Mayfield (17 miles northwest) has a Tops Friendly Markets store.

Recreation & Entertainment

Findley Lake is a charming community with lakeside attractions like the Blue Heron Inn and an old-fashioned ice cream parlor. You’ll find plenty of specialty-shop merchants who have created a “Charm Trail” with interesting souvenirs. Fishing, boating and camping are popular in this resort area. Sherman is home to The Heron, which is “dedicated to land stewardship and creative ingenuity.” The Heron hosts events like Night Lights at the Heron, in which participants walk a lighted one-mile trail lined with artistic expressions.
